I love using this thing to create really awesome textures in my music. Lotta great features here.
For one, the LED flashes at the tempo of the rate, which is great for easily matching BPMs when recording or playing live.
For two, it's two effects in one.
Three. STEREO!
Ok, some things that aren't HUGE deals, but you should know.
The original Electric Mistress had a FILTER MATRIX MODE that actually froze the flanger/chorus at a certain point in it's path, and you could manually move it using the knobs once in that mode.
They tried to do something like that for this X version, but it's much less cool. Basically, if you take the RATE knob anywhere between 10 o' clock and 7 o'clock, that's your FILTER MATRIX mode, and above that is normal Rate mode. You get used to it. Don't know why they couldn't throw a toggle on here for it, I think it would've been cooler that way. But I'm just a schmo.
Also, if you like EXTREME flanger, this isn't your bag.
Cool texture machine, great for Police stuff.
