Electro Harmonix Q-Tron Envelope Filter

Here it is, the big daddy of Electro Harmonix envelope filters, the Q-Tron. Funk me this pedal is cool! Tron up, tron down, funky chicken lows and squawky highs are all available and tweakable with the Q-Tron. EHX had their heads on straight when this one was developed. The Q-Tron gives you control over all aspects of the filter including a gain boost to keep the signal where you want it. The Mode knob lets you choose between high pass, low pass, band pass, or a mix of all three and the Sweep knob lets you choose if you want the filter to move up or down.

Adjust the quality of the filter with the Range switch, Low giving more vowel like qualities and High emphasizing overtones. The Q is adjustable via the Peak knob and the Gain control can be switched in or out of the effect. You’ve all heard this effect made famous by Boosty and many others in the funk genre. Perfect for guitar or bass, the Electro Harmonix Q-Tron Envelope Filter isn’t limited to funk, just your imagination.
