Product Description
Octron is an analog octave effect that produces a note one octave above, and a note one octave below the note you play. The output is made up of a variable mix of Octave UP, Clean, and Octave DOWN. Three internal trimmers and an internal switch allow you to fine-tune the sound of Octave UP and Octave DOWN signals.
Analog octave processing relies on articulate playing to produce the best results. The Octave UP section can produce overtones from single note lines or chords, while the Octave DOWN section is capable of processing just one note at a time. Multiple notes and chords can result in "octave skipping". With some practice it's easy to get consistent upper and lower octave sounds anywhere on the neck.

The Foxrox Electronics Octron is a pedalboard-friendly sized pedal which sports some great features that generally aren't found in traditional style octave pedals. It includes true-bypass switching, an exterior LED indicator, and top-mounted jacks. The exterior controls are made up of Octave Up, Direct, and Octave Down. Inside of the pedal you will find controls which can further modify the overall effect. The tonal possibilities are almost endless!
If you're looking for that ultimate, Jimi-esque, style octave-up then this is the pedal for you. The octave-up settings are full of such luscious chime and harmonics that it truly takes you back to the summer of 1969. Unlike most traditional style octave-up effects, the Foxrox Octron has the ability to track ultimately anywhere on the guitar neck and does not become splatty or subject to loss of the octave-up or octave-down effect. It retains all of its tone and character with ease no matter where your fingers are positioned on the neck. It surprisingly takes chordal-work very well too unlike most traditional style octave pedals.
However, the octave-up settings are not the only thing that makes this pedal a winner. If the octave-up won't get their attention, you will surely turn some heads when you mix the octave-up with some octave-down! The result is some of the finest, synth-like, fuzz that you've ever heard! If you're a Rush or Led Zeppelin fan in the least bit, you will certainly fall in love with this particular setting. One of my most favorite features with the Foxrox Octron is that it does a surprisingly good job with mimicking a bass-guitar. To achieve this, you simply turn down the octave-up and adjust the octave-down to your liking. The result is some of the most convincing bass-guitar tones you've ever heard on a guitar. Just don't use it too much or you're bass-player will be sitting in the corner the rest of the night with a fat lip.
The Foxrox Electronics Octron includes features that are not found in traditional style octave pedals. This pedal will certainly capture those timeless sounds both new, old, and beyond. The build quality is nothing short of astounding and it should have absolutely no problem lasting you a lifetime.

killer octave pedal

This pedal has fantastic range, adding warm through raunchy levels of octave down or singing to nasal octave up. Mix of the two octaves and dry signal is easy with the large knobs. Totally solid pedal, excellent.
