JHS Pedals Double Barrel Overdrive
The Double Barrel is for the player who needs a versatile transparent overdrive at medium and light gain levels. You won’t find face melting distortion here but you will find overdrive with the character and stacking abilities to cover most any tonal need.
The left side is our TS808 replica with improvements like a more usable tone control, more focused lows, better presence and warmer clipping. The right side is our own“Morning Glory”. Transparent, discreet and open are what lurk inside this circuit.
When these two circuits are stacked, something magic happens. Tones that are original and fresh come with ease as well as added flexibility due to the “order switching” toggle that lets you decide what pedal comes first.
We are convinced that this is one of the greatest 2 in 1 pedals ever made... Seriously.
If your having problems getting the tones you wan’t, just snatch the Double Barrel and see what happens!

This pedal delivers the most transparent and rich low gain overdrives that I've ever heard. The morning glory is a great overdrive for all styles and fits well in settings with other chordal instruments. The 808 is a great vintage tone but much more transparent than any other tubescreamer circuit I have owned. You can't go wrong with any of the combinations within this pedal!

Great pedal, I play mainly praise music for my church and that spans a large spectrum of tone. This overdrive is very transparent, and stackable. I have the morning glory set to go over the 808 and it runs so hot! This pedal gives you a good bite with the gain and tone up as well as a nice clean boost with a little grit with the low gain settings.

To be honest this is my first overdrive I have ever purchased after looking for many months...and I am very very with it!
The description of it being 'transparent' is very accurate. I also love of the gain/clipping options this pedal gives you to dial in tones you can use for your particular style.
If you are looking for a low to medium gain overdrive this is a great place to start.
It has modern tone and is not just trying to replicate last century. There are plenty of other pedals doing that!
My only issue is that with both sides of the pedal activated I find it a little noisy in its operation.

this is a 808 clone followed by the JHS morning glory. The morning glory is my personal favourite overdrive, and when stacked on the 808 circuit it really adds vintage flair. this is an overdrive that can fit almost any player and you want to have this in your arsenal.
