Rosie is our reincarnation of the venerable MK II Tone Bender circuit optimized for modern performance while maintaining our favorite tonal characteristics of the original design. Unlike the temperamental germanium transistors used in the classic Tone Bender MK II circuit, Rosie utilizes a combination of JFET and select low gain, low noise silicon transistors, giving her plenty of reliably consistent punch and attack. A two-way tone toggle and external bias control expand on this stable foundation making it easy to dial in a broad range of textures, from thick and syrupy to chunky and aggressive. Rosie makes single coils sing and humbuckers bite, bringing forth the best from both types of pickups. In addition to adding great feel and dynamics, Rosie’s custom high impedance JFET input also ensures worry free performance by eliminating the possibility of any unwanted interaction with buffers or wahs. This means Rosie can be placed anywhere in your signal chain with no adverse tonal impact. If you are looking to capture the classic sounds of your early Zeppelin records but with 21st century stability, let Rosie take you all the way.

I am very impressed with Rosie. It has the girth I like in fuzz, quite amazing all the possibities by using the toggle switch but the bias controll is the big winner. No question in my mind this pedal is a game changer for me. This pedal has the powerful sounding fuzz but dials back to a "clean" fuzz if desired. A lot of possibilities here and all are great. Recently I bought a Zeta and love it,Solid Gold has impressed me.

Like the other reviews here I had high hopes for Rosie and she delivered! Great thick meaty fuzz with plenty of definition. Les Paul + Rosie into my JTM-45 clone is heaven! I also like how I can put this fuzz anywhere in my chain and it still sounds excellent. I finally found a Tone Bender style fuzz that gives me exactly what I want.

It made my Tele sing! (as they said it would :))
Great fuzz that mimics the early Zeppelin tones, just the perfect one for me!
My favourite one yet!

Rosie fuzz pedal appeared to be even more flexible than I expected. Bias knob all the way down gets you to mid scooped, kind of "low battery" sound, but very musical at the same time. Tone Bender territory when bias is set around noon and more mid full, OD sound with bias set past 3 o'clock. No bad tone in the whole bias range. Very flexible! Additional options are provided with the tone switch. The pedal is exceptionally well built, is dead quiet and works well with power supply. The latter is not the case for many fuzz pedals.
And the last but not least Rosie is a pretty looking baby. Possibly this is the reason why it got out of stock that fast? :) Don’t miss the opportunity when it’s back!
Meanwhile I went for If 6 was 9 fuzz pedal :)

I am a 66 year old guitarist that grew up listening to all the greats and so many of them used a Tone Bender. I had no idea what that was at the time but I knew I wanted that sound. (the fingers of Beck, Page, or Gilmour wouldn't have hurt either!)
I happened to catch the video for Rosie & I knew the equipment part of the search was over. The sound in this box is exactly what I have been looking for. I can do Yardbirds, Zeppelin, Santana. Oh Lordy Lordy the singing sustain just makes my Telecaster sing for days on end. There is not a bad sound in it and it is so easy to dial in what YOU want to hear. I just got it and I am looking forward to many happy hours learning to incorporate Rosie's voices into my music. She wails, she cries, she barks, and she can bite too. She is a keeper - an easy 5 out of 5. Thank you Solid Gold FX for my Rosie and Prymaxe for a great deal!
